Planetshakers School of Creative Arts is a Music, Dance and Drama school that runs private and group lessons on a weekly basis. Lessons are available for 1hour weekly or fortnightly, or ½ hour weekly or fortnightly.  Weekly students receive an average of 10 lessons per term, fortnightly receive 5.

Students are enroled on a term by term basis. Terms are kept in conjunction with the Victorian School dates. Casual and trial lessons are available if you prefer not to sign up for the full term.

Private lessons are formatted so the student may work on their own personal goals, we also offer CPM , AMEB and preparation for VCE exams.  

In conjunction with the lessons, students at Planetshakers are offered a variety of performance opportunities to help develop their talents. One of those being our annual “Showcase performance” - last year we performed the musical “Godspell”.

All ages, levels of ability and members of the community are welcome at Planetshakers School of Creative Arts.

VOCAL LESSONS

Vocal lessons are available for those seeking one-on-one or group tuition. Students are taught a variety of styles and techniques according to their level of ability. Students progress quickly through intense and personal training, being guided in their personal and spiritual growth.

MUSIC • GUITAR

Grow and develop your ability as a guitarist, building a repertoire of skills that you will continue to use as long as you play. Students can go to the next level in their playing; gaining experience in various styles and techniques.

MUSIC • BASS GUITAR

Take your bass playing to the next level. In lessons, students are exposed to a variety of techniques, skills, genres of music and styles of playing, all the while building up their skill level in all areas of their bass playing. From Jazz to Rock, slap or melodies and Ballads, you will be developed to become an incredible bass player in all settings and across all styles of play.

MUSIC • DRUMS

Do you like hitting things anything you can get your hands on? Do you have a rhythmic mind? Then drum lessons are for you! Students are taken through from the very basic fundamentals right through to tricky techniques and high-level skills, advancing their ability to play in all situations and in a variety of styles.

MUSIC • KEYBOARD/PIANO

From soothing melodies to synthesized rock sounds, keyboards are an extremely versatile instrument. Students are taken through an incredible journey musically and spiritually as they begin to understand and apply the various techniques and genres key’s has to offer. They are also given the option to complete their AMEB classical or Piano for Leisure exams to enhance their skills and build a solid foundation in their ability.

MUSIC • SONGWRITING

Do you have a passion for writing songs? Song writing classes will empower you to write and worship like never before. BJ Pridham is an anointed worship songwriter. Songs to his credit include 'Hope of All Hearts', 'Heal Our Land' and 'Your Name Brings Healing to Me'. His passion for writing worship for the church will inspire students; his desire to impart to other's will bless students richly. BJ equips and encourages students in skills of song writing and worship.

DANCE TUITION • PRIVATE DANCE

Private dance lessons are available for those seeking one-on-one tuition. Students are taught a variety of styles and techniques according to their level of ability. Students progress quickly through intense and personal training, being guided in their personal and spiritual growth.

DANCE TUITION • KIDS BEGINNER HIP HOP

Teaching children the basics of dance, students aged between 6-14 begin their development in areas such as special awareness, stretching, floor work, beats and rhythm, music understanding and interpretation. They are encouraged and empowered in a safe and fun environment.

DANCE TUITION • KIDS INTERMEDIATE HIP HOP

Taking children to the next level of Hip Hop dancing, students are motivated and encouraged to extend their skills in a safe and fun environment. For students between 9-15 years this class will inspire every dancer to be all they can be.

DANCE TUTION • INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED HIP HOP

This is an advanced Hip Hop class in which the basic fundamentals of dance are built upon. It is a high intensity workout and requires some previous experience in Jazz, Ballet or Hip Hop. Students learn exciting and fast paced routines and are stretched, developing greater technique and higher resistance.

DANCE TUTION • INTERMEDIATE JAZZ

This is a basic to Intermediate Jazz class in which participants are taught the proper techniques of Jazz. Students learn the different dynamics of music and how to interpret beats and move accordingly. The basic outline of each class includes, warm up, corner work and then a routine. Students are developed in their flexibility and learn to master a variety of different jumps and pirouettes while also learning how to balance.

SPEECH THERAPY

Planetshakers School of Creative Arts offers Speech Therapy for all ages for singing, speaking and literacy needs. Speech sessions are held on a weekly or fortnightly basis for assessment and therapy. Speech Therapy services offer voice training for singers and speakers, assessment and therapy for articulation, delayed language, understanding and using language to communicate, stuttering, reading, writing and swallowing difficulties. Individual sessions, group sessions and workshops are available. All Speech Therapy courses can be claimed on health cover.
